State Tournament

Will be hosting JR. and Sr. Softball for the 2019 Season.

Welcome to Avondale, Arizona, home to Avondale Little League.  We’re happy to be able to host this year’s JR, Sr State Softball Tournaments.

All games will be played at Festival Fields, 101 E. Lower Buckeye Road From July 5th to the end July 10th or 11th.

Food and Drink Vendors will be on-site for all games.  Please patronize our vendors, as they have graciously volunteered their proceeds to help make this tournament a success for our league.  Unlike other leagues, we have no home fields, and lease from the City.

Things to know

·         Please no gum at the parks.  Sunflower Seeds and unshelled peanuts are welcome, but please pick up cups at the information and concession tables for the shells.

·         Dugouts are shaded at Festival, and additional shade will be provided for spectators.  Feel free to use your own canopies.  The more we share the better for all.

·         First Aid kits are available on site

·         Cool shaded areas will be available for spectators and players if heat exhaustion symptoms appear

·         Park staff will be available at all times for any issues related to facilities

·         Please advise all spectators there are no facilities for pets.  They will need to remain outside the park.

Avondale has dozens of places to eat along McDowell Road between the Loop 101 and Dysart Road.  Dysart Road and Litchfield Road have dozens of places to eat between Buckeye Road and McDowell Road.  If you want to go local, we recommend:

District 2 - State Tournament Hosting Schedule

Games start at 5:30 and 7:30.  Single games start at 7:00 pm.

For hosting assignments, please arrive no later than 5:00 pm to start the pregame activities.

You could have a group come for the 5:30 game and another for the 7:30 game - 2 people per league for each game time.
